Meet Stephen Haynes
Stephen Haynes, a recent Environmental Science graduate from Barbados is one of 9 interns currently enrolled in the Caribbean Youth Livelihoods Internship Programme (CYLIP) at the CIMH.
Determined to contribute to the progression of disaster and climate resilience in the region, Stephen is assigned to our Hydrology Section where he is supporting the upgrade of a model for forecasting the movement of invasive sargassum seaweed in the marine environment of the Caribbean.
Through CYLIP, Stephen has also been granted the opportunity to work with IICA Barbados on a variety of agriculture projects with a focus on the development of a climate smart tool for farmers to support the use of climate resilient agricultural practices.
