The CYLIP Speakers’ Series is delivered through virtual means and is aimed at introducing the Interns and the relevant, interested public to concrete examples of how innovative ideas and processes can be transitioned into income-earning opportunities.

The CYLIP Speakers’ Series exposes the interns to the lived experiences of and lessons learnt by innovators; entrepreneurs; business owners; experts and trailblazers in the world of business, science & technology. While the selection of speakers emphasises the Caribbean context,  a  global perspective is also pursued.

The CYLIP Speakers’ Series will also seek to contextualise current but relevant hot-button issues  such as food sovereignty; zero waste; artificial intelligence, computer learning, cryptocurrency and carbon offset/carbon credits © 2023.

CYLIP Interns with good business proposals or ideas will be encouraged to explore the feasibility of their proposal/idea, with the assistance of business development mentors and coaches. Although CYLIP is not a business incubator or accelerator programme, the mentorship and coaching services provided to the benefiting interns will build at a minimum, capacity and knowledge in:
  • Business plan development.
  • Social media marketing and branding.
  • Social/Impact entrepreneurship.
  • Greening or making business processes climate smart from the start-up phase.
