Eligibility Criteria
CYLIP applicants must:
- Be a recent graduate of a tertiary institution in the Caribbean region;
- Have or is near completion of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Economics, Computer/Computing Science, Engineering or Business/Finance. Consideration will be given to applicants with an Associate's Degree or CAPE Certification in these areas.
- Be a citizen of any Caribbean Meteorological Organisation (CMO)/CIMH member state. Note however, every CYLIP Phase/Call for applications may narrow or expand this citizenship requirement.
- Be able to demonstrate availability for at least 60% of the time over the 9-month internship period.

- Capacity Building in relevant areas such as Geographic Information System (GIS), as they become available
- An opportunity for a 1-week attachment visit with a US university or research institution
